Homeschooling Educator and Tutor in London

Carolina Sawney MSc D Psych Astrol

I am an educator and tutor with 16,000 hours of experience who aims to motivate students to broaden their curiosity and critical thinking in classes planned to enable them to solve problems, explore, dialogue, discover and apply skills creatively for deep and meaningful learning.

The programmes, content and materials are developed according to best international practices and the latest advances including those in educational psychology and pedagogy to greatly enhance the learning experience in a blend that allow each student to progress at their optimum pace.

This approach led me to discover excellent teaching principles applied in countries where students perform very well in international rankings.

The classes I offer are student centred, task and topic based and use a variety of innovative learning methods, that make the sessions motivating, to generate intelectual curiosity and promote well paced progress that is fastest that in other classrooms. The lessons followed a well developed programme of study, are thoroughly prepared and are highly productive.

I have offered homeschooling programmes, intensive six hour a day courses, extensive academic programmes, small group intensive evening sessions and one on one lessons, to all levels -from two year old children to postgraduates. I have collaborated with Ivy Education, as a Super Tutor. I have also offered courses to professionals sponsored by their companies, of which the first was The Guardian. I aim to engage and inspire all students to expand their horizons.

I have completed a Master Degree in International Politics from the University of London after a first degree in Social Communication, that I completed while working as a radio journalist. Teaching is one of my natural talents, as I spontaneously began to explain my classmates Maths at secondary school, before our exams. At 18 years old I taught English as a Foreign Language to a class of twenty four seventeen year olds. Since then I have completed courses that qualify me to teach specific subjects. I hold a Certificate in Psychotherapy that has been useful to have supportive conversations with students.

I am interested in Archetypal Cosmology, a new discipline that combines philosophy, classics, the history of culture, mathematical astronomy, symbols and the new sciences. I consider that this gives me a rich perspective that allows me to ask the right questions to motivate students in their learning and encourage their sense of discovery so that they expand their horizons. I have completed the manuscript of a children's book based on these topics.

I hold an enhanced DBS which is updated every year.
